This will prepare the individual for potential future positions as the business needs require and the individual demonstrates their contribution and potential.

Your position is responsible for providing professional and dependable service and to develop our Team’s capability to deliver JIC’s key objectives to all our customers and suppliers. You will have a complete understanding of all customer/supplier requirements.

Your understanding of JIC’s Management Policy “To become the best supplier” through our philosophy and guiding principles “Safety, Morale, Quality, Cost & Delivery” is imperative.

This role will be measured against specific targets as noted in the departmental business plan.

Summary: PLANS AND DIRECTS ACTIVITIES RELATED TO PREPARING NEW MODEL SALES PROGRAM, MASS PRODUCTION SALES ACTIVITY, AND SERVICE PARTS SALES ACTIVITY. COORDINATOR IS EXPECTED TO model behavior required for JIC associates including professionalism, teamwork, job performance and support OF MANAGEMENT. They must carry out their routine responsibilities as well as other assigned tasks by motivating associates positively. PEFORMS THE FOLLOWING DUTIES PERSONALLY OR THROUGH ASSIGNED TEAM MEMBERS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAFETY

  • Ensures each member of his/her responsible Sales management team supports Safety Program by promoting safety, providing training opportunities and enforcing safety policies.
  • Track and monitor Associate safety to meet established target goals.

QUALITY

  • Develops TQM fundamentals into daily management practices throughout the responsibility area of Sales Department.
  • Provides the leadership and supervision required to guide the efforts of the responsibility area of Sales team.
  • Establish Daily, Weekly & Monthly reviews and reflections using CAPDo.

COST

  • Supports the development and management of Sales Department budget and costs.
  • Assist in New Model and Mass Production quoting process.
  • Support in negotiating customer Cost-Down requests.
  • Supports and assists other departments to reduce costs associated with operation and processes.

DELIVERY

  • Coordinates Sales activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.

MANAGEMENT

Primary Position Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service to OEM Customers
  • Account Management by Model
  • Responsible for all aspects of project for each assigned models, including but not limited to:
    • Drawing Management
    • CCF Management
    • Customer Quotation Submission
    • Prepare and submit any documents or forms required by customer
    • Data collection used for CCF creation and update, including Stamping and Welding process charts
    • All research required in order to achieve accurate quotation making CRF and VA calculation
    • Receive all approvals necessary, from both internal and J-Group
    • Participate and/or lead any meetings related to assigned project
  • Internal JIC project management and communication, including but not limited to:
    • Issue internal RFQ’s after receiving J-Group and OEM customer RFQs
    • Customer maker layout communication
    • Create and collect all required data for internal project P&L summaries, including waterall (Yamataka) charts
    • Calculating and reporting DC Study Request Cost Impact
    • Prepare and present all assigned weekly and monthly reporting activities

Secondary (Backup) Position Responsibilit:

  • Mass Production Sales Activity
    • Support MP Sales Coordinator in Management of the MP Sales Activity Function
    • Support Mass Production Sales Meetings, as required
    • Service Part Sales Activity
      • Support MP Sales Coordinator in Management of the Service Part Quotation Function
      • Support Service Part Sales Meetings, as required
    • Reporting Activities
      • Prepare and report service part sales and deliveries
      • Prepare and report new model trial and prototype trial event P&L
    • Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met
    • Accepts job assignements and changes in positive manner, takes responsibility for own and team’s performance and job assignments
    • Seeks out new assignements, proposes improved work methods and finds better ways to complete tasks.
    • Manage and train direct report sales associate(s) as required
    • Demonstrates ability to work independently with little or no supervision
    • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Interpersonal Skills: Possess skills to communicate with associates, management team, other department managers and senior management.

Leadership Skills: Strong communication skills to provide direction and motivation to team members. Able to motivate associates and team members to accomplish corporate goals.

Problem-Solving Skills: Able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in identifying defects and solving problems with equipment and process to avoid missed quality, delivery or safety concerns.

Time Management: Develop task list and assure on-time implementation of tasks.

Computer Skills: Able to operate with basic computer skills, including preparing memos and responding to emails.

EDUCATION, MATH, LANGUAGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Twelve to thirty-six months related experience. Ability to read drawings and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent to draw and interpret mathematical data and graphs.
